MCCP’s Community Anniversary Convocation

This celebration will bring together much of Philadelphia’s diverse lgbt community to celebrate Philly’s oldest lgbt organization.

 

The convocation will began with the Processional of Forty, featuring at least forty welcoming clergy person in their colorful denominational regalia.

 

Helping MCCP celebrate through song will be Philadelphia premiere lgbtq choirs including, A Voice 4 All People, Anna Crusis Women’s Chorus,  Voices of Pride and Philadelphia Gay Men’s Choir

 

Local  political supporters will be seated in the congregation and various community leaders will take a part in the

program.  MCCP will also use this occasion to name seven caring  and giving community leaders  as “MCCP’s 2011 Patrons of Humanity”

 

 

Rev. Elder Troy D Perry, a gay pioneer and icon as well as the founder of MCC will be the featured convocation speaker.
